NEW SEASON, NEW EXPEREINCES...

Nemi is a summer child - and autumn has brought a few new experiences for her

One is of course clothes. Sumer was so amazing, that no clothes were needed. Autumn came with a vengeance. Cold, wet and windy. We dress Nemi in a jacket, and she's snug as a bug in a rug. She seemd to immediately grasp the concept, and happily continues to run like the wind through the now wet vegetation.

Another new and appearently very exiting concept is the fireplace. A particularly cold day we had lit the fire (it is a closed fireplace), prior to going our for a walk. After our walk, Nemi came like a streak of lightning through the living room (standard procedure) and as she passed the fireplace screetched to a halt. She stood puzzled, looking aound. There was heat - but from where?

She looked long and hard at the lamp. Then sat down facing the lamp with her head streched back, baring her neck and chest (a favorite position for sun worshipping).
She sat for a few seconds.
Them looked around again. Looked at the lamp, seeming very puzzled.
We opened the door of the fireplace to show her the flames and let her feel where the warmth was coming from.
Still a bit confues, but nonehteless happy about the situation, she settled on a comfy bed we had placed in front of the fireplace.

The next day it was not as cold, so no fire. After our walk, Nemi aimed straight for the fireplace and sat down in front of it. Then, puzzled, she looked around. Hey, no heat today!

Nemi still remains a tad confused about this whole warm/not warm issue of the huge thing in the corner of the living room.
