TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT...
After almost two months of living with, and feeding Nemi, we have finally reached a sort of eating agreement. That is, Nemi has finally gotten us to understand her rules for what, where and when she will eat.
Nemi's Eating rules:
1. Food shall never be served from a dog bowl. Large plates are good, hand feeding is better - playing with the food is best. Good games include playing hide and seek with the food and chasing it if it rolls.
(Note from human: With variation however, anything from carrots, apples and plums to eggs and even (gasp!) kibbles can be eaten. If we just could convince the little critter to increase the quantities as well...) 4. Food that has been earned through hard work, will be eaten - unless of course it's something yucky (definition of yucky will change regularly to keep humans on the alert) 5. If any member of the family is eating it, especially from a plate - I want to taste it. I may not like - but I definetely want it. 6. If it's bad for me, I like it. If it's really bad for me, I like it a lot! 7. Food is best shared.
(Note from human: This is not a view shared by our daxie. Mita will promtly eat everything that Nemi tries to share, including Nemi's portion.)

2. Food, or anything that would resemble food, or that has at any stage been something that could pass as food - okay make that just about anything found on the ground, can and should be eaten.
(Note from human: If you see a person in the woods running around pouncing and digging- that would be us, "finding" food which we then "allow" Nemi to eat)
